This is a sponsored post on behalf of our partnership with Babbleboxx.

I am not a big fan of winter. In fact it’s my least favorite season. The worst part is that it is also the season for colds and flu.  I try to do my best to keep my family healthy during cold and flu season. But sometimes despite my best efforts, colds happen. Nevertheless, here are some things you can do to stay healthy during cold and flu season:

6 Easy Ways to Stay Healthy During Cold and Flu Season with Babbleboxx

1 – Eat Foods rich in Protein.

Studies show that eating a diet that is high in protein can be very beneficial to your health. The protein that is  found in foods is used by every part of the body to develop, grow and function properly. Getting plenty of dietary protein gives you the best chance at keeping your immune system strong. Thankfully I found an easy way to get in some extra protein while snacking. I recently discovered PopChips Peanut butter Nutter Puffs. These puffs are a delicious. Nothing hits the spot like a sweet and salty treat like this one. I love that it is only 130 calories and It packs 5 grams of protein per serving. It is made with real peanut butter and doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients. It is also gluten-free and Non-GMO. You have to try these. I think you’ll love them.  Find them at your local grocery store or on amazon.com

2 – Minimize Stress.

Stress is a normal part of life. However, too much stress can can weaken your immune system. One of the best ways to minimize stress and boost your health is by spending time with family and friends. socializing can be a great stress reliever. Socializing will not only give your mind a break, but it can also relieve the pressure on your immune system. So go ahead and plan a little get-together to get you mind off things. You could plan a Winter Games watching party. Keep it simple. Offer up a limited menu and serve up some fun beverages like White Claw® Hard Seltzer. It’s basically a spiked seltzer with no artificial ingredients. It’s a low-calorie drink with only 100 calories and 5% ABV per serving. It’s also low carb and gluten-free which makes it a great choice for any health conscious guests you may have. It comes in a variety of flavors including Black Cherry, Ruby Grapefruit, Natural Lime and Raspberry. We tried out the Black Cherry flavor and found it to be very refreshing. 4 – Keep physically active.

Working out can help us fight off colds and other infections. Research shows that moderate amounts of aerobic exercise such as jogging, brisk walking and cycling during the cold and flu season can boost the body’s defenses against infections. So grab your sneakers and get moving to avoid colds and flus. While you’re at it, bring along a PodPocket -AirPod holder. AirPods are so easy to lose. The PodPocket will help keep you from losing yours. This product was launched early last year by a mother and son team in an effort to keep the teenage son from losing his AirPods. I think it’s a genius product.
