5 TV Shows I’m Watching This Fall

Growing up, my sisters and I were never allowed to watch television on weekdays.  Schoolwork was the priority and TV was only reserved for the weekends. To this day, I still watch very little TV.  I am not into reality TV shows or singing competitions, but I have found a few shows that I like to watch.  The following is a list of the guilty pleasure TV shows I’m watching this fall:

5 TV Shows I'm Watching This Fall2

1. Resurrection (ABC)

What would you do if a deceased loved one suddenly turned up alive and well? This is exactly the question weighing on the minds of Arcadia’s residents when a young boy who drowned over three decades ago came back with nary a scratch and without having aged a day since the incident. The mystery deepens when they find out he’s not the only one to come back from the dead. Spooky!

2. Revenge (ABC)

As a little girl, Emily Thorne was separated from her father after he was framed for treason and killed while serving his prison sentence. Meanwhile, the people who framed him are enjoying the good life but this is all about to change. All grown up and hungry for justice, Emily is back to unleashed her vengeance with the help of a few trusted friends. Emily is no joke and will do whatever it takes to clear her father’s name.

3. Scandal (ABC)

I heard a lot of buzz about this one when it first aired, but I resisted watching it.  It didn’t sound like a show I would like, but then I watched one episode and now I am hooked.  The main character, Olivia Pope has made it her life’s purpose to shield the nation’s elite from public scandal through her very own crisis management firm. Her character is actually loosely based on the life of the former George H.W. Bush administration press aide and Washington crisis manager Judy Smith. The cases that Olivia and her team handle range from kidnapping to prostitution involving foreign diplomats and political figures. Oh, she’s also having an affair with the President of the United States of America.  Scandalous!

4. How to Get Away with Murder (ABC)

Annalise Keating is a high-profile defense attorney and law professor at a prestigious university in Philadelphia. As per tradition, she picks the brightest students in her class to help out in her firm. Things get complicated when the friend of one of her student aides confesses to the murder of a classmate even though she did not commit the crime. Turns out the real murderer may be Annalise’s husband. Yikes! Let’s just say that there are a lot of killer moments on the show!

5. Right This Minute (various)

This series differs from the rest in that it does not feature scripted content but rather viral videos and witty comments from each of the five hosts. Watching online videos seems to have become the world’s favorite pastime in the last few years. The show aims to highlight the most entertaining ones among those currently making the rounds across the web.

What are some of your favorite TV shows?
