I’ve always been a big fan of Amazon.com and love that they are creating more and more original shows via Amazon Studios. Amazon Studios has timed its summer release of Tumble Leaf, an original series for children, perfectly.

The show is aimed at pre-schoolers, and invites them to join Fig, the wonderful blue fox and his curious best friend Stick, the caterpillar, as they explore the world around them. The series encourages creative thinking and introduces young ones to concepts of science through play. I love the concept of discovery through play and the wondrous manner in which Fig and his friends explore the whimsical land they live in.

If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can enjoy unlimited streaming on Amazon Prime, at no additional cost. The first six episodes of the series are available on Amazon Prime, and members can watch them on www.amazon.com/AIV or on Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, PlayStation, Wii, and on connected devices. Each episode features two 11 minute stories for children to enjoy. The remainder of the series will include seven more episodes, and will be made available in the next few weeks.

The delightful characters of Tumble Leaf have been developed on the basis of research by an experienced team of child psychologists. This team is led by Dr. Alice Wilder, who is well known for her work on the popular educational children’s series such as Blue’s Clues and Blue’s Room.

In addition to Tumble Leaf, this season will also see the launch of two new series for children. Creative Galaxy is aimed at pre-schoolers, and will encourage their artistic abilities. In Annedroids, kids will join an 11 year old brilliant scientist. Amazon Prime Instant Video is all set to make this summer truly memorable for children.
