Are You Aware of Underwareness?

Underwareness

Special thanks to Depend for sponsoring today’s post on the #DropYourPants for #Unerwareness movement.

Underwareness is a  campaign undertaken by Depend.  The purpose of this campaign is to bring awareness to the issue of bladder leakage.  I do not suffer from this, but I know someone who does, namely my father in law who is in his 70’s.  In fact, over 65 million Americans have experienced bladder leakage.  Wow!

There are so many things I didn’t know about bladder leakage. First and foremost, I always thought that this was something that only senior citizens suffered from.  The truth is, out of the 65 million Americans who live with this condition, 12 million are under the age of 35.

This is why Depend has undertaken this feat to to help remove the stigma surrounding the condition and the need to wear special underwear like Depend.  They want to get people to start talking about it so that those who experience bladder leakage will know that they are not alone, but we need your help.

Depend have come up with a really fun way to help this cause.  They have pledged to donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charities that are devoted to the research, education and awareness of bladder leakage.  Won’t you join in on the fun?  It’s easy! Depend will make the donation for every pant drop, photo and video shared using the hashtags #Underwareness and #DropYourPants as well as every personal video made about what Underwareness means to you that is uploaded to YouTube and tagged with #Underwareness and #DropYourPants.
