The Basics Of The Julep Maven Beauty Box System

Julep Maven Beauty Box

I recently posted about the subscription box craze and wanted to start trying out some of these boxes.  The first one I decided to try is the Julep Maven Beauty Box.  This is the subscription box service made specifically for those who love to keep up with the latest trends in nail polish fashion, that sends a collection of polishes monthly, depending on your style choice. According to the Julep website, monthly beauty box subscriptions of $19.95 will pay for a $40 selection of polishes, creams, and exclusive treatments for the nails that have not yet made it to the stores.

What’s Your Style?

The first Julep Maven beauty box of nail polish is free, with a small shipping fee, and the contents is determined by the style you suggested by taking an online quiz.

When I took the Julep Maven Beauty Box quiz, it was determined that my style was “Boho Glam.” If you find the style is not quite right, you can certainly change the default setting to one that you prefer. Then every month a new box is sent to you for $19.95 unless you decide to pass.

No Minimum Purchase

This is the unique part of the Julep Maven box program. There is no required minimum purchase. Every month on the 20th you will receive an email describing the contents of the coming month’s box. You have until the 24th to decline, to add to the box with other purchases or even to have the box sent to a friend. You also can cancel your subscription at any time.

If you decide you want the box as described in the preview, you simply do nothing and it will be billed and shipped free on the 27th of the month. Products and boxes featured in previous months are put up for sale about a week later for a limited time and in limited quantities.

As part of the Julep Maven box system, you can earn points for more free boxes or to qualify for 20 percent off other purchases. For example, you can earn 1,000 points, or Jules, for getting a friend to sign up to be a Julep Maven. Another 200 points is awarded on your birthday, with 500 added on your Julep anniversary. You can earn 300 Jules for each Julep Maven box you purchase and  750 Jules for buying the monthly upgrade box.

My first Julep Maven Beauty box arrived pretty quickly and I couldn’t wait to see what was inside! When I opened the box, I was first presented with a little welcome card, followed by a little booklet explaining the Julep Maven Beauty box program.

I quickly moved those aside so I could see the real contents of the box, and this is what I found,…..

2 Julep nail polishes, a Julep Nails & Cuticle Serum and 2 buffer blocks.

I really liked the shades of the nail polishes that were included.  I received a really nice shade of blue called Aisha, and a burgundy-ish shade called Michelle.  Julep Maven Nail Polishes

I’m happy with my first Julep Maven box, but I’m not sure if I will stick with the service because, (1) I already own a ton of nail polish and (2) $19.95 is a bit much in my opinion for 2 bottles of nail polish. With that said, I know they include extras, like the cuticle serum that was included in this box, so maybe it’s worth it in the end.

You can try out the service for yourself to see if you like it.  The first box Julep Maven Beauty Box is FREE, so you have nothing to lose!
