Chuck Season 4 -The Ring Bearer

Chuck Season 4 DVDBig Mike used to be Morgan’s boss.  In an earlier season, he dabbles in a little online dating and meets a great woman, Morgan’s mom.  In Chuck Season 4, we see that the roles have been reversed and Morgan is now Big Mike’s boss.  Morgan is a little uncomfortable with the fact that Big Mike has been dating his mom, as well as his new role as Big Mike’s boss, so he takes great lengths to avoid his mothers house.

Big Mike realizes that his newfound source of happiness is Morgan’s mom and decides that he is going to propose to her. He lets Morgan know his intentions and entrusts him with the ring.  Big Mike wants Morgan to hold on to the ring until he is ready to give his blessing allowing Mike to marry his mom.

I think it was so sweet of Big Mike to ask Morgan for his blessings.  This shows that he really had a lot of respect for Morgan and that although he had made up his mind, he was willing to take Morgan’s feelings into consideration.

How would you have handled this situation? Would you have given Big Mike your blessing?
