Do You Need To Use Eye Creams?

I’m always browsing for new products since I’m a product junkie, and lately I’ve been noticing tons of eye creams on the shelves.  I’ve always bypassed them because I’ve always wondered if I really need a separate eye cream. I know that I need to protect my skin and the area under my eyes from sun damage and I do that by wearing protective eye wear.

Wearing protective eyewear I’ve always thought that eye cream is something that old people wear, but now that I am getting older I guess it’s time I look into it.

Why Use An Eye Cream?

First, the skin that is around a person’s eyes is not the same as your general facial skin. It is a lot thinner and more fragile. Standard beauty creams can be too harsh so you want a cream that is specially made for your eyes.

A good eye cream can help prevent wrinkles. It will keep the area around your eyes moist, healthy, and beautiful. Eye creams can also reduce puffiness underneath your eyes, and unsightly under eye circles. While puffiness and dark circles can occur at any age, they can make you appear older than you are, unhealthy, and tired. Your cream can reduce your risk of developing these problems, and correct them if they have already occurred.

Choose The Right Eye Cream

Not all creams are alike. If you want the most benefits, one of the ingredients you should look for is retinol. Retinol will increase the production of collagen. It will improve your skin’s texture, and protect against further damage. The skin will become firm, and the dark circles will begin to fade.

Armed with my research, I head out to Duane Reade to see If I could find a good eye cream.

Duane Reade Beauty Aisle I remember receiving some samples of RoC® anti-aging products in the past, and remember liking them when I tried them so I was on the lookout to see if they had any eye cream products.

RoC eye cream products

I was happy to see that they did have a few. I was also happy to see that a few of them contained retinol. I tried it The RoC® Retinol Correxion cream right away and was surprised to see how it plumped up the skin under my eye.

Trying out RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream I never really thought of regularly wearing an eye cream, but like Benjamin Franklin said, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” so regardless of your age, an eye cream should be a part of your daily beauty routine. When you use an eye cream, you can avoid the signs of premature aging, and always look your best.
