Easy Nail Designs with Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

I love seeing beautiful nail design, but I totally suck at doing it myself.  I’ve tried in the past, and I always wind up removing the polish because it just never comes out right. Well, the other day I was doing some shopping online and came across a nail polish called Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color.  I was intrigued.  I had never heard of magnetic nail polish so I had to look it up.  I learned that the polish is infused with metallic particles that move when exposed to the specially designed magnet that comes with it.  I also saw some examples of what it would look like.  It looked great so I ordered it.

It was really easy to use.  Here are the steps:

  1. apply 1 coat of base coat to nails
  2. apply one coat of Sally Hansen magnetic Nail color to all 10 nails. Let it dry.
  3. apply a thick second coat of the magnetic nail color to 1 nail and immediately hold the built in magnet over the nail and hold for 10 seconds. Do the same for the remaining 10 nails. Let the nails dry.
  4. Apply a top coat.

Here is a video that allows you to visualize how it’s done.

  • Pretty! My sister just gave us a magnetic nail polish (not Sally Hansen) and the instructions were NOT helpful so it didn’t work! I’m going to try it again on my daughter and see if this way works. Thanks, Diane!

  • I do my own nails and my little lady’s too. I’ve been wanting to try the sally hansen magnetic nail color for a while I think i will give it a try this fall!
