Easy Ways to Protect Your Tech Gifts

Easy Ways To Protect your Tech GiftsTech gifts are usually a biggie around Christmas, but this holiday season seemed to be THE year for tech gifts. I’ve never seen such a push for video gaming consoles, televisions, cameras, and the like. Everyone loves tech, so it makes sense. Now that you have your great tech gifts, you need to protect them. I received compensation in exchange for this post, but all opinions are 100% my own.

Tech Gifts Need Protection

Technology is wonderful. It’s also fragile, so your tech gifts need to be thoroughly protected. Here are a few ways to keep your new tech shiny and new for a long, long time.

Get a Good Case

Whether it’s a smart phone, tablet, iPod, or some other sort of device, if you’re able to find a case for it, get it. Cases come in a variety of styles and protection levels from wallet-style covers to rubberized/hard plastic combo cases. It’s always been my opinion that the more protection you can give your device the better. I recommend a case from companies like Ballistic or Otterbox. They are the ultimate in protection for your tech gifts. Sure, you don’t think you’ll drop your device, but if you ever do, it’s nice to know that it will survive the impact.

Screen Protectors are Your Friend

This goes hand in hand with a great case. Some cases come with screen protectors and some don’t, and again, they run the gamut of protection levels. Peel and stick protectors are good enough for protecting your screen from dust, hair, and scratches, but I’m a big fan of plastic screen covers. Tech gifts are generally top of the line, so it makes sense to get a plastic screen protector that offers the added benefit of preventing screen cracking.

Protect Against Theft or Damage

As careful as we may be, there’s always a chance that no matter what we do, our tech gifts might get damaged or stolen. You can’t protect against all outcomes, so it makes sense to guard your devices against theft or damage just in case the unthinkable happens. There are a variety of device insurances out there such as Protect Your Bubble. Protect Your Bubble guards your tech gifts against loss or damage as well as identity theft due to phone security breaches.

Tech gifts are great, so protect them as well as you can. There’s nothing worse than getting a great new gadget and then breaking it. Trust me. I’ve been there, and it’s terrible.

Protect Your Bubble makes it easy to protect the things that matter most to you, with easy to use services, to personal care when you need it most. Visit ProtectYourBubble.com to learn more and protect what matters most to you!

  • Oh my goodness, we got so much tech stuff so this is a great list. Thank you so much.

  • I have noticed an influx in the demand for techy things like ipads and the like. My two year old recently started playing on ours and we definitely could use another case for our first iPad.
