Planning Our Dream Trip To Paris With Gogobot

As you already know, we love to travel. We usually take a few road trips and we also try to plan a bigger vacation every year.  Figuring out where we want to go is not that easy though.  We have lots of ideas, but deciding on something that will fit our budget is where we tend to get stuck sometimes.  So right now I’m doing some brainstorming for next year.  I like to start planning early so that we can start saving up.

In the past I’ve used a lot of different travel sites to research trip ideas.  However, I recently heard of a new trip planning site called Gogobot.  Gogobot is a great site that can help you with all aspects of planning your trip. It is a mix of trip planner and social networking, all wrapped up into one helpful site. Whether you need plane tickets, a hotel recommendation or you want to know the best places to eat in, you can find it all on Gogobot.  Philip sometimes thinks that using a trip planner is unnecessary.  I guess he doesn’t really realize just how helpful these sites can be for planning the perfect getaway. For one thing, if we’re traveling to a destination that we’ve never visited before, it can be hard to sort through all the recommendations for restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions and transportation methods; however, with the help of other travelers and a fun social networking site, you can discover the true hidden gems in any city.

One of our dream vacations would be a trip to Paris.

Hey, a girl can dream!

Knowing where you want to stay will definitely be helpful when it comes to choosing a hotel because, choosing the right hotel can make a big difference in how you experience the city. In fact, it can mean the difference between being in the heart of the city and enjoying the convenience and excitement that only Paris can provide or finding yourself in a more remote location with limited accessibility to Paris’ most popular attractions. Plus, I am very picky when it comes to hotels.

Sites like Gogobot can be a big help because of the social aspect of the site.  I love it that real people are leaving reviews and rating the hotels.  They are also leaving some great tips as to which rooms afford better views, etc.  You can also find recommendations for a large number of hotels since Gogobot lists everything from budget-friendly options to extremely luxurious accommodations.

When you are trying to decide where to stay in Paris, it is also important to understand not only how the city is laid out, but also what attractions you want to be near. I’ve heard that navigating Paris is typically quite easy and is something that even a casual visitor will be able to master in a very short time; however, each area has its own distinct style and charm. Some areas are more eclectic, others quite posh, but all of them offer a taste of Paris. I for one am very interested in exploring the Parisian art scene.  I want to explore museums such as the Louvre and The Musee d’Orsay, so I want to make sure we stay somewhere that is not too far from these attractions.

  • My eldest daughter is studying European countries right now, and she has a list about 10 miles long of countries she would love to see. This would be a great site for her.
