The Rice Krispies Mystery

rice krispiesBecause we have a private well and are not hooked up to the municipal water supply in my town, Z.E.N. has to take a prescription vitamin which contains fluoride.  One day I needed to go fill his prescription and Phil decided to come along, because he wanted to pick up some wine at the liquor store next door to the Walgreen’s.

We parked in the Walgreen’s lot and Z.E.N. and I went into Walgreen’s while Phil walked over to the liquor store.

When Z.E.N. and I exited the store, we  approached the car, but I didn’t have my car keys key with me, so we had to wait for Phil.  Luckily, I spotted him walking over, so we didn’t have to wait long.  Z.E.N., being the ever eager kid that he is, reached for his car door and it opened.  It appears that the doors were not locked after all!

When I opened the passenger door, I noticed a bag on the seat.  I didn’t think anything of it since I figured it was Phil’s bag.  Phil then spotted the bag and asked me what I bought?  I picked up the bag and noticed it had an unopened box of Rice Krispies cereal in it.  Huh??

So If I didn’t purchase it and Phil didn’t purchase it, who did???

We have no clue!

We have come to the conclusion that someone who has a similar vehicle entered our vehicle thinking it was theirs and when they realized their mistake, they quickly exited and forgot to take their bag with them.
