Saving Wine For Later With The Coravin Model Two Wine System

Growing up, Sunday dinner was a big thing at my house.  My mom would cook a big dinner, and the five of us would all eat together as a family. Dinner was always accompanied by wine. My parents always give my two sisters and I a tiny drop of wine so we could taste it. They liked to try different wines, and we’d wind up with several bottles of leftover wine in the fridge. I always saw them emptying out bottles of wine in the sink. As a child, I didn’t understand why, but now I know that they had to discard it because they didn’t taste the same.

Huby and I are not big wine drinkers, but we do have a bottle now and then.  The problem we have is that we never seem to be able to finish off a bottle. We usually just slap a stopper in it and save it in the fridge for later. I have no problem with drinking  2,3 or 4-day-old wine, but I do notice that it tastes so much different from when it was first uncorked. Enter the Coravin Model Two Wine System. You’ll never believe how I came across this product. I was actually looking for a new show to watch on Hulu and came across a show called The Wine Show.  In one of the episodes, they just so happened to be talking about the Coravin. After seeing it in operation, I knew I had to try it out for myself.

The Coravin Model Two Wine System is a wine preservation system. It is the first and only system in the world that gives wine lovers the freedom to pour any wine, in any amount, without having to remove the cork. Whether you want a sip, a glass, or more, your last glass will taste just as amazing as your first. I’m a big fan of red wine, but no matter which type you prefer, red, white, rosé, you can enjoy all your favorite wines on your terms.

Sometimes I find it difficult to remove the cork with a corkscrew? Well, Coravin is easier to use than a corkscrew. All you have to do is insert the Coravin needle through the cork, tip the bottle and press the trigger to pressurize with argon. Using an inert gas such as argon means there is no oxidation happening in your wine.  When you remove the needle, the cork will reseal to preserve the wine remaining in the bottle for weeks, months, or even years.

If you live for your afternoon glass of wine and never met a bottle you didn’t love, this product will keep your wine tasting fresh. It’s such a great product. I can see myself giving this as a wedding or housewarming gift. Check it out at Best Buy.
