The Inn At Pocono Manor

There’s something utterly fantastic about staying at a historic inn. Maybe it’s the charm, maybe it’s the setting, or maybe it’s just so incredibly different than the chain motels – whatever it is, though, it’s worth the effort to find. If you happen to find yourself in the Pocono Mountains with your family, you owe it to yourself to visit The Inn at Pocono Manor. If you’re looking for a family friendly time while you’re up in the mountains of Pennsylvania, you certainly won’t find a better place to stay. Not only that – there’s plenty to do when you stay at the Inn.

My family and I stayed at the Inn last month and really enjoyed it. Our room was spacious, the staff was extremely friendly and there were lots of things to do.

The Inn at Pocono Manor is truly a historic inn, having welcomed visitors from across the United States for over one hundred years. This does not, however, mean that the amenities are stuck in the past. While you’ll have all the conveniences of the modern era at your fingertips, there’s still an undeniable sense of history in every hallway.Long Hallway at Pocono Manor Inn If you’re the type that needs to stay plugged in all the time, you can certainly avail yourself of the high speed internet and cable television but you’ll definitely miss out on all the fun you can have when staying at the Grand Lady of the Mountains.

Indeed, perhaps the most striking thing about the Pocono Manor is that there’s an incredible amount of things to do. If you love the outdoors, this is the place for you – there’s hiking and outdoor activities available all the time, with many seasonal events that you’re sure to love. If you’re there with the kids, make sure to check out the playground, petting zoo and take a hay ride. When weather permits, you can even treat yourself to marshmallows roasted over an open fire. A vacation here is a throwback to the days before everyone stared at their phones instead of interacting.

If you’re into sports, there’s even more for you to do. There are lawn games available for the entire family, horseback riding, and even trap shooting. You can take a mountain biking expedition, practice archery, or just go out on a hike. The great outdoors is open to you in the Poconos, and the Inn at Pocono Manor will help you experience nature to its fullest.

Want to stay indoors? No problem. There is a theater, game room and a swimming pool that will keep you occupied. My son loved the pool and spent a lot of time there.  He also had fun playing games with Philip. I loved that they were able to bond that weekend.
