Why You Should Stay at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge

Traveling to New York City? I sometimes think that people tend to forget that New York City is comprised of 5 boroughs and extends way beyond the borders of Manhattan. As someone who was born and bred in Brooklyn, I would highly recommend Brooklyn as a great place to stay during your visit. I recently went back to Brooklyn with my family and stayed at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge.

The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge was the perfect hotel for my family’s little weekend getaway.  We enjoyed  breathtaking views of Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan and enjoyed the many amenities they offered including access to the fully-equipped and ever-popular M Club Lounge.  This is the only full-service hotel in Brooklyn and its slightly, out-of-the way location makes it ideal for people who want fast access to New York City without all the noise and activity.

Large Clean Rooms

Families will love the spacious rooms that are offered at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge.  These rooms come with a vast range of amenities including high-speed Internet, complimentary coffees and daily newspaper service.  Families can also enjoy an impressive selection of in-room movies, large, comfortable beds with luxury bedding and comprehensive work spaces.

 The Terrace Suite

We stayed in a one bedroom Terrace Suite up on the 23rd floor. This suite offered panoramic views, and a separate living room and bedroom.  It was super clean, and offered the perfect amount of space for family travel to New York City. It was a comfortable, 1 bedroom, two-room suite that had a king-sized bed, a pull-out sofa bed and soundproof windows.  It also features a cute little terrace.  I love it when a hotel offers outdoor space.  Z.E.N. was happy that there were two televisions in the room, so he was able to watch his shows without having to wrangle the remote from his dad.  

 M Club Lounge

During our stay, we had access to the M Club Lounge. The M Club Lounge is designed to provide hotel guests with comfortable, flexible places to work and ample opportunity to relax and recharge.  There is a hydration station that offers purified, flavored and fresh water, free premium wifi, business services with fax, phone, copier, scanner and. They also had fully stocked refrigerators filled with various juices and sodas and yogurts. A complimentary hot breakfast was also served in the M Club Lounge every morning we were there. This space is perfect for anyone traveling with kids.  I would usually have  to pack along snacks and juices for Z.E.N., but having access to the M Club eliminated the need for me to pack all the stuff that I would usually need to pack.  

Additional Hotel Amenities

There are also a number of hotel amenities that all guests of the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge can enjoy.  Kids and adults can relax in the massive, 75-foot hotel swimming pool. There is also a fully-equipped fitness facility for those who are eager to keep their workouts on track while traveling.  Guests can additionally receive a number of relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatments at the on-site, full-service spa. 

Central Location

The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge is far enough from the hustle and bustle of New York for peace and relaxation, yet it remains a short jaunt from all of the most popular, local attractions.  The hotel is practically located at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, so you can take a walk over the bridge to Manhattan. Don’t want to walk?  It is just a short trip on the subway or a five-minute cab ride to the Financial District. This hotel is also very close to the Barclays Center which routinely hosts concerts from world-class artists and is also home to the Brooklyn Nets.

While we were there we ventured over to Manhattan. We wound up at Bryant Park and had a great meal at the Bryant park Grill. 

Whether seeking a truly unforgettable view or enough on-site amenities to keep every member of the household content and fully entertained, the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge is a great place to stay.
