A Great Stay at Holiday Inn Manhattan – Financial District

This post is sponsored by Holiday Inn

Are you planning a family trip to New York City? If that is the case, the best place for you and your family to stay is Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District. It is a family-friendly hotel that holds a world record. It is the world’s tallest Holiday Inn! It has 50 floors and is 453 feet tall.  We recently stayed there for a little staycation and enjoyed it. There is something for the whole family. Your kids will love chocolate milk happy hour and the scholastic lending library. You and your kids will enjoy comfortable rooms, amazing city views, and easy proximity to city attractions. Check out some of the reasons why you should stay there.

Chocolate Milk Happy Hour

We arrived at the hotel right on time for their weekly Chocolate Milk Happy Hour. The happy hour features complimentary milk and cookies. We loved it and I’m sure your family will love it as well!

Scholastic Events and Lending Library

Holiday Inn has partnered with Scholastic in an effort to help keep kids reading all summer long. They are holding special breakfast events where kids can meet popular Scholastic book characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog and Geronimo Stilton. During the week of the event, kids will be gifted a Scholastic book at check-in. In addition, all summer long, kids will be able to borrow a book from the Scholastic lending library. As a parent, you can also borrow a book to read a bedtime story to your little ones. Z.E.N. loves to read, so this was a big hit. He was already familiar with the Geronimo Stilton series and was happy to find one that he had not yet read. It makes me happy too. As a parent, I am all too familiar with the summer slide. Making sure that Z.E.N. reads during the summer is a must.

Clean Rooms

The hotel features more than 400 hotel rooms. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Choosing a room on a higher floor means you’ll have access to great views of lower Manhattan and the New York City Harbor. You can request a room on a lower floor to avoid a potentially long wait for an elevator. If you have young children, request a room with a bathtub for easy bathing as some rooms only have showers instead of bathtubs. The rooms are small and cozy so if you have a large family and need more space, you may want to consider booking two adjoining rooms or a suite.

This hotel has quite a few amenities. They offer free Wi-Fi which kept us connected all weekend. They have a fitness center and a laundry room. They have a restaurant on site and also have a “Kids Eat Free” program.

Outstanding City Views

From the upper floors of the Holiday Inn Manhattan – Financial District Hotel, you and your family will enjoy outstanding city views. Our room was on the 46th floor and we had a partial view of the Hudson River. Depending on where your room is situated, you may be able to see the Hudson River, the Statue of Liberty and  1 World Trade Center.

A Home Base For Family Exploration

From the hotel, you can walk to many attractions located in Lower Manhattan. We visited Trinity Church, the National Museum of the American Indian, and Battery Park. There is also a subway stop right around the corner which makes it easy to travel to and from upper Manhattan. Here are a few fun photos we took along the way:
