This is a sponsored post. Thinking about going camping? If you’re planning an RV camping trip, Lake George RV Park should be among the top choices. We went RV camping last month. We had a long list of campsites to choose from. Although there were many campsites that were much closer to where we live, we decided to go to Lake George RV Park because when we did a search of lake george rv park reviews, this one was highly-rated. Located in the Adirondacks of upstate New York, this family-owned and operated Lake George RV resort sits on over 120 acres of plush green fields and is full of wonderful amenities that will keep each member of the family in high spirits. With various RV campgrounds near Lake George and packages to accommodate small and large family units, taking a closer look at the resort can be key to understanding just why you should go camping at Lake George RV Park.
Lake George RV Park
The park is huge! It has over 400 pull-through and back-in campsites in a lovely wooded setting, giving visitors ample room to enjoy their stay at this Lake George family campground. Because the park is so big, they have an internal trolley service that will take you around the park. The Lake George Trolley is a convenient way to explore the area without having to worry about transportation.
This was our first time camping in an RV so having pull-through sites available at the Lake George RV campground was very much appreciated. Fresh water, functioning sewers, and cable hookups are available on all of the campsites. As first-time RV campers, we needed a little help with hooking up. We arrived at the park a bit later than we had planned and it was quite dark out. Therefore, one of the staffers from the main office came around after we had settled in a bit to see if we needed any help. Since it was so dark out, he advised us to wait until morning to hook up the sewer line. When morning came around, David, the owner of the campsite graciously helped us out. He was very friendly. It’s always a good thing when the owner of a facility is approachable and willing to lend a helping hand.
For individuals that wish to stay connected to the rest of the world through the Internet, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the RV camping site. A picnic table and fire ring ensure that your family will enjoy bonding during the day and night. They even provide trash cans with liners that are emptied daily.
Lake George RV Park Activities
There's so much to do here! You can go fishing in their private lake. Try hiking or bicycling on one of the many trails available. Or just play sports at this Lake George RV park campground.
There are many sports courts available. They have tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, Shuffleboard, ping pong, and bocce ball courts. The courts were very well maintained. If you have younger children, they will love playing at one of the 4 playgrounds on the property. There is also an arcade, an adult fitness center, indoor and outdoor heated pools, two movie theaters, a 300-seat playhouse with nightly entertainment, and a café. They also have a 2.5-acre cool dog park. We visited after Labor Day weekend, which means that many of the activities had already closed for the season.
Nearby Attractions
The Lake George RV camping site is located in a great area. There are outlet malls literally around the corner from the campsite. There is also a paid trolley service that stops in the park that will take you to Lake George Village where you can visit the Fort William Henry Museum, ride a steamboat or head to the Great Escapes amusement park and try some of their thrilling rides.
