While we were in Lancaster, we had lunch at Hershey Farm Restaurant. When we first heard of the place, we weren't quite sure what to expect, but we still decided to check it out anyway. I am so glad we did, because the food at this restaurant is fantastic.
They offer two different types of service. You can order from the menu like you would at any typical restaurant, or you can go for the Grand Smorgasbord. The smorgasbord is basically what I would call a buffet. When you are seated, your server will ask you which type of service you want to go with. We decided to opt for the smorgasbord. We went to the restaurant after we checked in to the hotel so we were hungry!
They had so many different foods we could choose from. They also had a lot of what I would call comfort foods. Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, I could go on and on. They had it all. The most important thing to note though is that it was all delicious! Even Z.E.N, who is a somewhat picky eater asked for seconds.
The desserts were also really good. They had ice cream, a chocolate fountain (yum!) and a nice variety of homemade pies and cakes.
We were all stuffed by the time we left! We loved the food so much that we actually wound up coming back the very next day! this is a restaurant I can honestly recommend. They have something for everyone there and the quality of the food will not disappoint!
Right outside the restaurant is the Hershey farm bakery. They had lots of fresh bread and pies on offer.
A few feet away from the restaurant we found some farm animals. Z.E.N. loves, loves, loves, all animals, so he got a kick out of seeing them.
