If you're looking for a place to stay when you visit the Pocono Mountains area, you may want to check out the Chateau Resort and Conference Center. My family and I had a chance to check out the resort a few weeks ago when we visited Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark. It's literally right next door to Camelbeach which is very convenient. It's also very close to the Crossings Premium Outlets so guests looking for bargains will enjoy shopping at major upscale stores.
The Chateau offers a home away from home with luscious outdoor grounds that take a person's breath away. The hotel features 2 pools, a fitness center, a game room, relaxing decks and lovely mountain views. The only con about staying in this resort is that the place is in need of some updating. However, the rooms are clean and the mattresses are comfortable. Cleanliness and comfort are very important to me when it comes to staying at a hotel.
Customer service is also an area that can make or break it when it comes to lodging. I'm happy to report that Chateau has an extremely accommodating staff that makes guests feel comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly. We also received a great amenity that we were totally not expecting.
So, if you're visiting the Poconos and need a clean, decent place to stay, consider staying at the Chateau Resort and Conference Center.
