Live Happy Book Teaches How to be Happier in Life

Are you happy?  I have always been a happy go lucky type of person and consider myself to be happy. Unfortunately, not everyone can say the same. Learning how to be happier in life can sometimes be a challenge, but a new book called Live Happy, by Deborah K. Heisz, may put happy seekers in the right direction. Since I tend to be happy just about most of the time and am all about happiness, I really loved this book!

How To Be Happier In Life

How To Be Happier in Life

Being happy is a crucial part of the human experience, even the founding fathers of the United States thought so, as ‘the pursuit of happiness' was scribed into the American Declaration of Independence. The Live Happy book understands how important it is to reach a state of happiness. And the book gives the reader a whole lot of tips for happiness. A lot of thought went into the tips that were included in the book and are based on studies and psychological evidence related to the way human beings feel when they are happy.

According to the book, the key to being happy is to simply do happy acts. What are happy acts you ask? Happy acts come in many forms, from simply skipping down the road to munching down on a delectable dessert. They are basically the little things in life that bring you joy. It may seem silly to make a goal to participate in as many happy acts as possible, but there are many reasons why one should.

The feeling of happiness can be linked to several brain activities like the release of seratonin or dopamine. Both of these neurotransmitters allow the brain to feel a sense of goodness. But the release of these neurotransmitters also has an effect on the body as well. Research has noted that the risk of cardiovascular disease is significantly lowered when the brain is filled with some of these neurotransmitters. Seratonin and dopamine were also associated with high energy levels. Some experts have attributed this boost of energy to the fact that happy people tend to have a healthy weight.

Happy Act Ideas

The Live Happy book is filled with tons of ideas that can be used to trigger happiness. For instance, something that might trigger happiness is thanking someone who has affected one's life in a positive way. Being specific about that action could make one remember the moment, which should trigger happiness. Another thing that triggers feelings of happiness is volunteer work. Many people need help, and most would appreciate the assistance, and it is proven that a person will feel happy when he or she receives gratitude.
