RV Camping in the 2016 Winnebago Vista LX 35B

Traveling with the entire family is a great way to bond and build lasting memories. However, trips that involve flying or driving long distances in a cramped car are often more hassle than they are worth, and you may not be able to pack everything that you would like to bring with you on your vacation due to space restrictions.  Fortunately, a recreational vehicle offers the best of both worlds: a chance to take fun trips with your loved ones without the inconvenience of flying or stuffing yourselves into a vehicle that is too cramped. Of course, not all recreational vehicles are created equal.  If you want to maximize your family’s comfort and have a true home away from home, the 2016 Winnebago Vista LX 35B should be at the top of your list.

In partnership with GoRVing.com, we took a 2016 Winnebago Vista LX 35B out for a spin last month. We drove it all the way to Lake George in New York. This was our first time in an RV and we were pleasantly surprised by it. It offered unmatched features, style, safety, and comfort. After experiencing all it has to offer, we didn’t want to go back home! At 36.5 feet, this model is the longest of the Vista LX line, offering plenty of space. Plus, it had three slide outs, meaning that when we were parked at the camp, we could expand the space in the RV to make it even more spacious. I had no idea that this was even a thing! My parents came along for the ride so there were five of us in total, but there was plenty of room for all of us.

The Vista LX 35B is designed with families in mind, offering a private master bedroom (for when the parents need a break from the kids), plus bunk beds with privacy curtains and a sleeper sofa to ensure that up to six family members have a comfortable place to rest their heads at night.

This particular RV had 2 bathrooms. The bathroom in the master bathroom had a big shower. The big shower is a great amenity; it is rare to find a recreational vehicle that offers such a spacious place to wash up after days spent hiking or otherwise enjoying the outdoors.

The kitchen is also quite large, and includes a stove, refrigerator, freezer, and pantry so that you can easily feed your family delicious, nutritious meals. This means that you won’t have to dine out for every meal, which can get expensive and time-consuming when you are trying to enjoy a vacation. While eating at a restaurant can be fun on occasion, it can get old fast, and if you have any picky eaters in your household, you know that finding a restaurant everyone can agree on can be a frustrating challenge.

Although you may spend limited time in the recreational vehicle while you are on vacation, you can take comfort in the fact that there is plenty to do inside if some or all family members decide they would like to stay in.  A 48-inch HDTV comes standard with this model. There was an additional TV in the master bedroom, and there were DVD players on top of each bunk bed. In addition, there was a full entertainment center installed on the exterior. Z.E.N. loved being able to watch his favorite shows while tossing a football up in the air at the same time.
