Synopsis

The storyline revolves around storks that deliver packages for a web-based company that previously used to manufacture babies. The company's top package deliverer happens to be a stork called Junior. However, just as Junior is about to be promoted in recognition of his achievements, the aptly named Baby Making Machine is somehow activated. This causes it to deliver a beautiful but unauthorized baby girl, which becomes a major headache for Junior who must find a way of delivering the girl to it’s rightful parents before his boss, Hunter, finds out about this infraction. Luckily, Junior happens to have a human friend named Tulip who is willing to help him make the baby delivery. Both Junior and Tulip embark on an adventurous and wild journey that has numerous twists and turns.

STORKS

I thought the Storks movie was good overall.  The cuteness factor was off the charts! It also had quite a few laugh out loud moments. Where the movie shined was with the messaging. I love the messaging about the importance of spending time with your family as well as the realization that all families are different.

STORKS

Regardless of the appearance and make up of the family unit, these are families that love each other. The movie really shined at the end when all the families were made complete with the addition of their new babies and when Tulip was reunited with her family.

After seeing the movie, we had a chance to chat with actors Kelsey Grammar, Stephen Kramer Glickman, Andy Sandberg, Katie Crown, and Writer/Director Nicholas Stoller, Director Doug Sweetland, and Producer Brad Lewis

When asked about the main theme of the movie:

Nicholas Stoller said that the movie is a “love letter to parenting and it's a celebration of family. “

When asked about the movie’s messages:

Brad Lewis stated that one of the messages was to let a baby affect your life. And even if it's not a baby, if it's some little moment of innocence or beauty, stop, take it in, enjoy it, and then get back on the train.  That's what you're going to do, right?  So, the movie is about allow yourself to get connected.”

Andy Sandberg spoke about the family. He stated that “there's no one definition of family.  It's whatever feels right to you and whatever, you know, your reality is.”

Katie Crown responded that “you shouldn’t judge somebody based on stuff they’ve done in the past.”

In the movie, there was a theme about balance between career and work. When asked about how they balance career, work and family:

Kelsey Grammar stated “Less work, more family.” He went on to state that it was the opposite when he was younger.

When asked about diversity:

Brad Lewis stated that “the great thing about families, family comes in all shapes, sizes, every sort of orientation, every sort of racial–every culture, right?  So, it was super intentional for us to be universal and make sure that everybody sees this movie as it's an inclusive, family oriented movie.”

When asked about the movie’s tagline, “finding your flock”:

Stephen Kramer Glickman stated that “your family is kind of what you make of it.  And whether it's having a stork in your family or it's having, you know, relatives that you've never met before, that's all part of, you know, what we make it in life.”

Storks will hit the theaters on Friday September 23rd.  Get your tickets Here!
