Where To Get Last-Minute Easter Basket Fillers

Some parents, myself included, wait until the last minute before they shop for Easter items for their kids. Good news for all you last-minute shoppers! You can still find a great selection of last minute Easter basket fillers so that you won't be empty handed come Easter morning. Where, you ask? Walmart! Walmart has an amazing selection of Easter fillers, decorations, candies and the like. I stopped by my local store yesterday to do my shopping. Since I waited so late, I was expecting to see lots of empty shelves, but nope, that was not the fact. They had tons of stuff available at really great prices. Here are a few items I picked up:

Decorating Easter Eggs and Dudley's® Spraytastic Egg Decorating Kit

This kit makes decorating Easter eggs so much fun! The kit includes everything you need to create the perfect eggs, including dyes, stencils, and cups. Parents can use the eggs that their children create to make memorable baskets or eggs that are worth hunting for. The kit was only $9.98! When I showed it to Z.E.N. yesterday after school, he couldn't wait to get started! We decorated a dozen eggs, and had a lot of fun doing it.

Mystery Flavored Peeps

Have you heard of Mystery flavored Peeps? Peeps has come out with two new mystery flavors for Easter. The chicks and bunnies which are exclusive to Walmart, both taste different. The actual flavors will be announced Easter morning. Z.E.N. and I both tried the Mystery Chicks. We both thought they tasted like apples. Have you tried them? Let us know what you think, but hurry, these won't last long!

 

Baskets

Walmart has a large selection of baskets and buckets. You can choose from traditional baskets or character themed baskets. I went with a more traditional themed basket.

Toys

Walmart provides last-minute shopper with more than just candies and dyes. Parents can fill their kids' baskets with toys that they adore, as well. For example, the store I went to had an ample supply of toys and other licensed products from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle items, Frozen and Paw Patrol. I picked up some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cards for Z.E.N. since he loves card games as well as some bouncy balls and puzzle books.
