3 Amazing Health Benefits of Walking Everyday

The Health Benefits of Walking Everyday is Amazing!Health Benefits of Walking Everyday

The health benefits of walking every day are by far one of the best-kept secrets of a long, healthy life. From disease prevention to weight loss, these perfectly wonderful perks of walking workouts are every reason you need to get up, get out and get moving towards a better tomorrow. Hubby and I started a walking workout last year. Every morning after dropping Z.E.N. off at school we would walk around the neighborhood. It was a great way to spend some time together before the start of our busy day.  It was also an easy way to get some fitness in.

Walking Aids Weight Loss and Helps You Keep Weight at Maintenance Levels.

You already knew that walking could help you lose a few pounds and inches but how many calories does walking actually burn per mile? Well, it really depends on your current weight and the energy you use while walking, but in general, each mile should burn around 100 calories for an average sized person. At this rate, one mile can burn off a bag of potato chips, cheesy popcorn or tortilla chips. Not bad for a brisk walk around the neighborhood and much easier than dragging yourself to your local gym for a 5 a.m. sweat session.

Walking Prevents Disease and Improves Current Ailments.

Walking can greatly reduce your risks for high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and even heart disease. That is great news for men and women of all ages. However, if you already have any of these ailments, like hubby does, walking can help improve the pre-existing conditions, improving heart health, blood sugar levels and quickly lessening blood pressure figures. It is also a great energy booster for those who suffer from diseases such as MS or Lupus, providing extra get up and go for these energy zapping immune disorders.

Walking Workouts Can Multiply Health and Weight Loss Benefits.

Everyday walking has many health benefits but these perks multiply when you keep the correct form. My posture has gotten so bad from sitting behind a desk all day. So when I’m walking, I try to remember to swing my arms to boost calorie burn, keep my chin up and tighten my abs a bit. Doing this can help improve your posture, helping you reap more benefits and higher energy levels. To make your workouts even more effective, add a new spin to an old favorite.
