Easy Easter Craft for Kids

Easy Easter Craft for Kids

I was a class mom for my son’s kindergarten class. One of my responsibilities as a class mom was to come up with crafts which coincided with some of the holidays.  Since my son attends a Catholic school, and since Easter is rapidly approaching, this month’s craft had to have an Easter theme so I really wanted to find some religious Easter art projects for kids.

In search of some inspiration, I fired up Google and did a search for an easy Easter craft for kids that the class could make. I came across a large number of Easter themed crafts.  This one in particular caught my eye.  I was looking for easy Easter crafts kids can make, and this one seemed easy enough for kindergarteners so I decided that this was the one.  Plus, I already had most of the supplies I would need for this craft on hand except for the watercolor paint.  I didn't really want to buy paint because I didn't want the kids to make a huge mess, so I did some research to try to find something that I could use that would deliver the watercolor effect,  but that would be too messy to use and found these:

These Faber-Castell Gel Sticks are basically semi-solid paint sticks that roll up and down. They are kind of like glue sticks.  The consistency is the same,  but instead of glue, they're comprised of a semi-translucent paint.  These are very easy to use and they were able to produce the desired effect.
