During our trip to Lancaster County a few weeks ago, we visited Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. I think this was the highlight of our trip. There was so much to do there and we had so much fun as a family.
My son loved seeing and feeding all the farm animals.
Plus we had a blast on the rides. Hubby and I were like 2 big kids!
If you too, are looking to have some autumn fun with the family in eastern Pennsylvania, you owe it to them to go check out Cherry Crest Adventure Farm in Lancaster County. The 15 acre farm has opened its fall season on September 21st and will be featuring over 50 fun activities and rides through November 3rd.
The Amazing Maize Corn Maze will likely be the highlight of your visit. I so wanted to do the corn maze, but hubby was afraid I'd get lost and not come back. LOL!
This year the corn maze features a baseball theme, complete with a speed pitch machine. You can also tackle the maze in the dark every weekend. Flashlight mazes are scheduled for every Friday and Saturday night through November 3rd from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. Even better, the maze admission also includes admission to the wagon ride and bonfire. Additional campfire and food options can be added for a fee.
In addition to the Amazing Maize Corn Maze, you can enjoy these activities at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm:
Harvest festivals each Saturday from 10:00am through dusk through October 27th. This festival is great for the kids, with a changing selection of activities each weekend. Enjoy pony rides, pumpkin painting, arts & crafts and much more.
Pumpkin and popcorn pick your own. Meander through six acres of popcorn and pumpkin fields to pick your own and take home. The popcorn can be popped in the microwave right on the cob! Pick your own is available Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00am until dusk through October 27th.
Close out the Halloween holidays with the Cherry Crest Adventure Farm Pumpkin Madness Festival on November 3rd from 10am to dusk. There is a fun packed day of pumpkin related activities and food planned for everyone.
General admission is just $15 on Thursdays and Fridays, and $18 on Saturdays for all ages 2 and up. Children under 2 are admitted free of charge. General admission includes over 50 activities, including the Amazing Maize Maze, the Discovery Barn, and a huge array of rides. Once you work up an appetite with all the activities, you can also dig into the lunch and dinner offerings including Angus burgers, salads and wraps, French fries, and some of the best fudge available in Lancaster County.
Location: 150 Cherry Hill Road in Ronks, Pa. — about 12 miles east of Lancaster, two miles east of Strasburg, off of Route 741 in Paradise Township. Free parking is available.
