Why RV Camping Is Great For Families

Have you ever gone camping in an RV? If you are thinking about your next big family vacation, you should seriously consider renting an RV camper and hitting the open road. We did just that last month and really enjoyed it. RV camping makes for a great family vacation, whether you're taking the kids to thought-provoking roadside attractions, beautiful parks, or our nation's most popular historic monuments.

First off, RV camping is typically much less expensive and so much easier than trying to transport an entire family across the country via air travel. Plane tickets are so expensive these days, the seats are terribly crammed, and delays are pretty much inevitable. RV camping is superior to other forms of travel, because the travel portion itself becomes an adventure rather than a hassle. RV’s offer the perfect setting for game playing and listening to music along the way. Plus, you won't have to stop for multiple bathroom breaks during the drive. RVs are truly a home away from home! You'll also save tons of money by preparing your own meals instead of eating out at a restaurant three times a day.

Additionally, RV camping will cut down on skyrocketing hotel costs. It's truly a fantastic way to tour the country — without the hassle of unpacking multiple suitcases at each hotel stop along the way. Today's privately run RV parks are very similar to resorts. They often specialize in supplying an environment where families can enjoy outdoor fun without abandoning civilization completely. These facilities often include game rooms, Wi-Fi, playgrounds, lakes, swimming pools, convenience stores, cable TV and laundry facilities – all at prices that hotels are unable to compete with. Outdoor movies, s'mores parties and tie-dyeing tutorials are typical events that many modern RV parts offer, so strap in for some fun!

Another great thing about RV camping is the opportunity to teach kids to appreciate nature during some of these planned stops. There are so many fun and exciting things for kids to do at a campsite while parents relax and unwind. You can also make lasting memories cooking a meal over a campfire together, roasting marshmallows or telling ghost stories—the options are virtually endless!
