Want to go RV camping but you don't own an RV? No problem. Renting an RV may be the way to go. You can either rent an RV and drive to the RV park, or you can drive directly to an RV park that offers park models that you can rent out. We recently went this route. Last year when we went RV camping, we drove up to the campsite in a 36 foot Winnebago that was loaned to us.
We are novices when it comes to driving an RV of this size though, so this year we decided to go camping in an RV rental instead.

Lake George RV Park has many park model RV's that you can rent. A park model RV is basically an RV that is stationary. It never moves.
It also had a comfortable living room with cable television, a dining area that seats four, central air conditioning and plenty of storage. Outside the RV we enjoyed a private patio with awning, outdoor chairs, picnic table, fire ring, and gas grill.
No camping trip is complete without the activities that take place on campgrounds. The RV park has five heated swimming pools, two movie theaters, video arcades, basketball, tennis and shuffleboard courts, and an adult fitness center. If you are into hiking, the park has a number of trails available. Some are difficult while others are easier to conquer. There are also two ponds on the property. One is reserved for paddle boating and one is reserved for fishing.
Nearby Attractions
You can do a lot at the camp, but there are many places to visit, too. For example, you can take a drive to some of the nearby outlet malls for a little shopping. Lake George Village is also nearby where you can take a ride on the steamboat or enjoy some thrilling rides at The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom amusement park.
In addition, Lake George RV Park is only an hour away from Vermont which also has lots of great places to explore, like Bromley Mountain.
There really is a lot to be enjoyed at Lake George, which makes it a hot-spot for many travelers. You do have a lot of choices when it comes to RV camping, but it is easy to see the benefits of this location. They are open from May until mid-October.
