Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs Recipe

This is a sponsored post for the National Pork Board, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Big Game is coming up this Sunday, and even if you’re not a fan of football you’re probably a fan of eating. I love getting together with friends on these big game day events. A day of eating and just mingling with people you love makes for a memorable day. Are you planning a gathering of your own? Be sure to add these Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs to your menu!  Using your slow cooker or crock pot means you won’t be stuck in the kitchen. Just set it and forget it until it’s done. The result will be the most tender ribs. Your guests will be begging for more.

Slow Cooker Ribs Steps (1)

After the ribs were done cooking, I put them in the oven and broiled them for about 6 minutes to let the barbecue sauce caramelize.

This is such a versatile dish and you can add any number of sides to it. When I made them, I  also made Macaroni and Cheese and Cole Slaw to go with it which made a perfect meal.

When it comes to ribs, I’ve heard that people sometimes substitute pork ribs with beef ribs. WHY? It’s pork all the way for me! It’s a really versatile meat with many healthy/lean cuts to choose from. I like the fact that I can use it to whip up a really quick dinner at home, or add it to a great party spread. Plus, most of the pork recipes I’ve seen are pretty easy to follow. You can find some great recipes at Pork Be Inspired.

Do you have a favorite pork dish? The National Pork Board has a sweepstakes going on now where you can enter for a chance to win some great prizes by sharing a photo of the pork dish you’re cooking or eating on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #PorkNowSweeps, or by entering on the Pork Be inspired Facebook page.
