Weekend Fun at Tuckerton Seaport and Sea Pirates Campground in NJ

Have you ever been camping.  I’m afraid to say that I never have but that’s about to change.  Phil, Z.E.N. and I are finally going camping right here in New Jersey thanks to Tuckerton Seaport and the Sea Pirates Campground.  I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant because when I think of camping, I think of tents and sleeping bags.  But luckily, we’ll be in a cabin, so it won’t be such a shock to the system.  Plus, we’ll be attending the 5th Annual Privateers & Pirates Festival, which will be held at Tuckerton Seaport. Captain Black and the Crew of the Valhalia who have for centuries been plundering the eastern shore of the American colonies, as well as the Bloody Historical Privateers of the Northern Star, will be taking over the Seaport!  It all sounds like so much fun. I don’t know much about pirates except for what I’ve seen on television, but I am looking forward to it. Here’s a a glimpse of some of the activities that will be happening there.

A new feature this year is the Grand Finale Show with Privateers vs. Pirates. The winner of the battle for control of Tuckerton Seaport will be decided. Additionally, there will be a 52 foot long Pirate Obstacle Course Ship, that you can climb aboard. As you challenge the enemy to a race on this Pirate Obstacle Challenge, be cautious of the captain that stands guard at the entrance to the ship!

If you are in New Jersey and are on the hunt for treasured memories and kid-friendly entertainment, then come and spend some time at the Seaport and experience a day in the life of a pirate.
