Each year little trick-or-treaters roam the streets loot bags in hand. If you are one of those urban dwellers that hands out candy each year, why not try something a little different this year. There are various alternatives to candy and not only would parents appreciate help against the candy overload, but it also provides variety for the children. Of course, what you choose to hand out will also depend on your budget and how many trick-or-treaters you have knocking on your door each year.
7 Non-Candy Halloween Treat Alternatives
Halloween themed pencils and erasers are a great idea. Not only are they useful, but fun as well. These are items that children can make use of for a long time to come.
What about Halloween themed coloring books? Although there is an age limit for this, most of your trick-or-treaters will enjoy hours of creative, coloring fun, long after Halloween is over.
Although crayons, colored pencils and markers may seem predictable and boring, they can provides hours of fun for the children and they will always find some use for it.
Handing out mini bottles of water or all natural juice boxes is another idea. All the walking that little feet do on this night is bound to make them thirsty. Help quench their thirst with a healthy beverage.
Stickers are always fun! Plus, they last way longer than candy and children can decorate their favorite items with these stickers.
Handing out little trinkets such as whistles, glow sticks and yo-yos is an interesting idea. Children will love playing with them.
