10 Different Ways to Use Dryer Sheets

To most people, laundry is one of the least desirable home chores. Though it is not something you can ignore, there are a few things you can use to improve your laundry process, for example, by using a dryer sheet fabric softener. A good example is the Purex Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets, which works as advertised.

They will make your clothes smell fresh, and you will also avoid the annoying static electricity that freshly laundered clothes often have. One of the best things about this dryer sheet fabric softener is that it is faint enough not to be overpowering, but not faint enough not to be noticed.

But, dryer sheets aren’t just to make our clothes soft and smell good. Here’s some different ways to use dryer sheets.

The many ways to Use Dryer Sheets

1. In the car – place a dryer sheet or two under your seats in the car for a fresh clean smelling car. Keep in mind, the more dryer sheets you use, the stronger the aroma.

2. Remove Lint – I often use the dryer sheet I come across when folding laundry to help remove the lint in the dryers lint tray. You can also use a fresh dryer sheet to remove lint or pet hair from clothing, bed sheets and even again in the car!

3. Clean Messes – Did you just drop flour on the floor? No worries! A dryer sheet will help aide you in the process.

4. Diaper bag – If you are traveling instead of purchasing those expensive scented diaper trash bags use a dryer sheet to hug the stinky diaper until you can toss in the trash!

5. Dusting – You can utilize a used dryer sheet for dusting the house and car! You can even tape a few together for your Swiffer! Be sure to use on mini blinds, chrome faucets, computer and TVs screens as well.

6. Around the House – Does your teens room smell? Can’t seem to figure out why? No worries! Place fresh dryer sheets throughout the room for a clean smell. You may also consider placing them in closets, drawers, laundry baskets, trash cans and behind the toilets!

7. In the Vacuum – Place a dryer sheet where the vacuum bag is. When you sweep the air from the vacuum will pass through the dryer sheet leaving a fragrant aroma behind.

8. Storage – When packing up seasonal clothes, place a dryer sheet in before sealing the container or bag. This will help to keep the mildew smell away.

9. Remove Dirt, Grime and Crayon – I have used dryer sheets to clean up dirt and grime from the bath tub and it’s been surprisingly helpful for getting crayon off my wooden coffee table.

10. Freshen Old Books – Why do old books have a odd smell? Cut a dryer sheet and place in the back of the book for a refreshing smell that’ll want you to continue reading the book you just received.
