Wendy Williams Hot Topic – BFFs or Boyfriend? Which Would You Choose?

So, today’s Hot Topic on the Wendy Williams Show is about Taylor Swift.  Apparently she has eleven best friends.  Eleven?  How can anyone have eleven best friends?  I can see having eleven good friends, but best friends?  I don’t see it.  Anyway, the real issue at hand is that Taylor is torn between spending time with her best friends and her boyfriend Calvin Harris.  Personally, I think that if she really enjoys spending time with all of them, she can probably work something out so that everyone gets some Taylor time.

  • 11 best-friends though? That’s child play, she doesn’t know what having a true friend really is. At that age, I would choose my boyfriend hands down, maybe that’s why I don’t have any friends today LOL.

    On a more serious note though, since she’s having a hard time choosing between both groups then obviously none of them matter because no matter how busy life is, you always make time for the ones you love.

  • Easy for me: I always had male friends, so I didn’t have a lot of silly crap to deal with. Males best friends don’t get on you about choosing!!!!

  • I suppose if my job was unusual and I didn’t have set work hours I could totally juggle all those friends and boys! LOL

  • I suppose it’s a little different for her and her best friends – they’re all (as far as I know) famous as well and probably wouldn’t complain about her availability since I’m sure they all also have hectic schedules to juggle too – and the same thing goes for her bf (who I’m sure would be more inclined to go out of his way to spend time with her since he’s gotten more exposure since dating her).

  • There should be no choice to make. A true friend is always there and understands that life has different stages. These girls are being selfish. What if they had Calvin Harris on their arm? Would things be different then?
    Also, back to the 11 Best Friends. To me, best means the top, number one, gold and there can only be one gold. I don’t believe that anyone can truly have more than 1 BEST friend. Perhaps 11 homies but not 11 besties.

  • I don’t think she should have to choose. And I think a girl as sweet as Taylor appears to be could probably care enough about her friends to call 11 of them best friends. I have more than one “best” friend. I don’t have 11, but I have more than one.

  • I had not seen these before today! What a problem to have, I would think the friends wouldn’t expect her to make a choice but be there for her when she needs them.

  • Well of course a person can’t have 11 best friends! Just by the nature of the definition of the word best it isn’t possible. You can have one best friend, and many other friends and acquaintances.

  • As I’ve gotten older I can honestly say that having a select few best friends is so important. It helps to have people I can talk to, grab a drink with, go see a movie with or live theater. And the fact that none of these people are my husband allows him the time to himself that he needs. It’s a win-win for everyone!
